👋 I'm Rareș Gosman.

Born in Romania and raised in Canada, I've always been fascinated by how technology can solve real-world problems. My journey began at the University of Waterloo, where I studied Mechatronics Engineering, a program that taught me to think across disciplines and tackle complex challenges from multiple angles.

My career started at Tesla during the Model 3 production ramp, where I learned firsthand how to build and scale systems under extreme pressure. This experience shaped my approach to engineering: move fast, iterate constantly, and never compromise on quality.

When I'm not working, you'll find me training for my next marathon or half Ironman. Endurance, whether in running or entrepreneurship, is about consistency, discipline, and knowing when to push through the pain.

I've climbed Kilimanjaro while dealing with five strains of E. coli, cycled the Shimanami Kaido in Japan, and hiked Acatenango in Guatemala, overlooking neighboring Volcan de Fuego. Those trips remind me that the best experiences usually start a little outside your comfort zone. I bring that same instinct to building startups too.

Most recently, my co-founder Ana and I concluded the journey with Contour Care, the platform that grew out of Contour Health. We sold the business back to the organization where we both started in healthcare technology: Athelas, which merged with Commure in October 2023 and now operates as part of that broader healthcare software platform.

These days, I'm building a mix of developer productivity tools and software for real estate agents and the rental market in New York City. The common thread in my work is still the same: find messy workflows, understand them well, and use AI infrastructure to turn ideas into reliable products quickly.
