👋 I'm Rareș Gosman.

Born in Romania and raised in Canada, I've always been fascinated by how technology can solve real-world problems. My journey began at the University of Waterloo, where I studied Mechatronics Engineering—a program that taught me to think across disciplines and tackle complex challenges from multiple angles.

My career started at Tesla during the Model 3 production ramp, where I learned firsthand how to build and scale systems under extreme pressure. This experience shaped my approach to engineering: move fast, iterate constantly, and never compromise on quality.

When I'm not building healthcare technology, you'll find me training for my next marathon or half Ironman. My best marathon time of 3:20 in Amsterdam taught me that endurance—whether in running or entrepreneurship—is about consistency, discipline, and knowing when to push through the pain.

I've climbed Kilimanjaro (with five strains of E. coli, no less), cycled the Shimanami Kaido in Japan, and hiked volcanoes in Guatemala. These adventures remind me that the best experiences come from stepping outside your comfort zone—a philosophy I apply to building startups too.

Today, I'm the co-founder of Contour Health, where we're using AI to revolutionize medical billing and healthcare delivery. After seeing the inefficiencies in healthcare firsthand, I knew technology could create a better experience for both patients and providers. We're not just building software; we're building a future where quality healthcare is accessible to everyone.
